I know. I know. This is a weird one. That’s one of the advantages (?) of doing a gag-a-day comic. When some weirdness find’s it’s way into my brain I can vent it into drawings of bugs.

Also, I’ve been thinking I’m overdue for a short story arc. There won’t be one starting Saturday or anything, but I’ll get to work on it.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. I just finished all the secret gift stuff that I was doing for my girlfriend, because I am king of gift-giving. I have to imagine that the Blue fly is not quite as good at it though, hence this comic.

My boss at work said this at a meeting a week or so ago. “If you’re not moving forward, you’re dying.” And I immediately thought “Oh, we’re still dying.”

Brad (like Amy) hasn’t had too distinct a personality yet, despite having so many comics behind us. It’s something I’ve been working on. Amy, sure, is a small business owner, she loves Hall and Oates, and both deals with and is out of patience for the barflies, but there’s still really a lot we can learn about her. Brad is even less defined, and making him a motivated person is a step in the right direction.

I wanted to quickly thank everyone who’s been turning the comic on to their friends. April was the best traffic month I’ve ever had. Almost 100k pageviews! Sure, it’s small potatoes for the internet, but I’m still really happy to see more people are enjoying the comics.
